How catalogue orders ship

We run a stock-led model for shopfront hardware and shutter spares: you pick a line with a clear spec, we pack against that spec, and carriers hand over on predictable mainland timelines. This page explains dispatch cut-offs, what to prepare for motor substitutions, and how VAT is shown at checkout.

What happens after you pay

Orders placed before midday on a working day are usually picked the same day subject to stock - you will see any back-order note on the acknowledgement if a line is waiting in. We ship on a signed-for parcel service for most components; long bundles may travel on a pallet network with booking contact from the carrier.

You receive tracking when the consignment is manifested. If access to your site is restricted, reply to the acknowledgement with gate codes or time windows so we can brief the courier and avoid failed deliveries on high-value motor kits.

Weekend and bank-holiday orders queue for the next working pick. Export or offshore destinations need quotations because volumetric surcharges and customs rules vary - email before paying if you are outside mainland GB.

  • Midday cut-off for same-day pick on stock lines
  • Signed-for delivery by default on motors and long sections
  • Email replies for offshore or restricted-access sites

Motor matching without the guesswork

Tubular motors are not interchangeable on torque guess alone - follow these steps so we can confirm a stock line.

01

Photograph the drum plate

Clear shot of manufacturer stamp, torque mark, and supply voltage - blur any unrelated client signage.

02

Measure shaft and headroom

Octagonal shaft size and clear tube length determine adapter fit; note any cheek plate offsets.

03

Estimate curtain weight class

Solid vs perforated slats and insulated laths change load - state what is currently fitted.

04

Share guide condition

Pinched guides increase torque demand; mention if you are replacing rails at the same visit.

Dispatch and returns - quick answers

UK consumer rights and B2B contract terms apply as labelled at checkout; these notes cover frequent trade questions.

Prices are shown in GBP with VAT at the standard UK rate unless a product is specifically zero-rated. If you are eligible for zero-rating under HMRC rules, supply your evidence before payment so we can advise.

Cut bundles and opened electrical assemblies are often non-resalable - contact us before return so we can confirm restocking where hygiene and safety seals apply.

Note damage on the carrier's paperwork and photograph the packaging before opening. Email photos within 24 hours so we can lodge a carrier claim and arrange replacements.

Call before travelling - small items can sometimes be ready for collection by arrangement; long slats remain despatch-only due to handling equipment.
